Bio

.......................Matilde Holzwarth comes to fine art photography after a successful, competitive career in Neuroscience where highly technical photography was an important data-gathering tool. Photography has also long been Matilde’s means to express her artistic side.

......................After moving to NM in 2001, she expanded that artistic side and began her pursuit of fine art photography. She has participated in numerous photography workshops, studying with well-known photographers including Jay Maisel, Norman Mauskopf, and George DeWolfe. Matilde’s photographs capture unique moods in landscapes, nature, architecture and people with an eye for the beauty, intricacy, and significance of each. She works in digital photography in both color and B&W and prints from her digital darkroom.
